Our Wedding

﻿The Invisible String Theory is the idea that your "people" (soulmate, best friends, etc) are always present in your life's path, even when you haven't met them yet. An example would be crossing paths with someone many times before you physically connect, with the universe waiting for the right moment to bring you together. That Invisible String has connected us for a very long time and we finally figured out exactly how deep that goes on our first date. We both attended Cars and Copters car show in 2011, and took a photo together. We both had affiliations with a particular car club, with fathers and best friends being members. With that we had actually cruised in the same convoy to some shows, and attended many of the same car shows over the years. With us having a small age gap, when you are younger you tend to only see people your own age. When we both got older, and ended up on dating sites, that age gap number wasn't as important. It took one date- one long day driving in the rain- to realize just how connected we had been the whole time. Our plan was to meet at the Plymouth Jetty for a walk (this was still in the midst of covid and walk dates were very much a thing at that time) on Memorial Day 2021 at around 10 in the morning. It poured. With our cars parked next to each other in the jetty parking lot, Heather made the executive decision to make this date happen. She invited him into her Jeep hoping he wasn't a serial killer, and if he was at least she was driving and in control! Matt hopped in without a second thought. We drove around for hours hoping the weather would turn and we could just go on a walk like we had planned. But the day had other ideas. We drove from downtown Plymouth, all the way through and around the State Forest, further south, then cruised all the way up to Nantasket hoping to escape the rain. It didn't work. But all that driving left us with a lot of time to talk and really get to know each other past playing 20 questions on a dating site. We had such a great time that this "quick walk date" ended up turning into a 12 hour adventure that we would never forget, and connected the dots for us. What we realized gave me the chills (in a good way!) We realized we had crossed paths on so many occasions and that we actually remembered each other from those moments in time!! From that day on we were basically inseparable- we had melded our lives together seamlessly, and realized exactly how well us and our families and lives fit together. We both knew from that time on that neither of us were going anywhere. Flash forward 3 and a halfish years to October 12, 2024- we were on the last day of our annual Florida vacation- it had been rerouted and changed due to a hurricane the week prior, and then we had to ride out another direct hit hurricane during the middle of our week!! It was a hectic, crazy, emotionally driven week, for sure. On the last day we were determined to relax and not go too hard at the parks, and go out for a nice dinner that evening. After riding Heather's favorite ride, the Velocicoaster, we headed toward Hogsmeade Village via a bridge in front of Hogwarts Castle. Matthew suggested we take a few photos, and as soon as we took the selfie, he was down on one knee with a beautiful ring!!! We lived through a direct hit Florida hurricane, got *engaged*, and then saw a once in 80,000 year comet from the plane!! It was the most unforgettable trip ever!! With how much Florida has played a part in our love story, we decided it was only appropriate to have our wedding here and share it with everyone we love!!! Cant wait to see you all on May 4, 2026 to write the next chapter of our love story!!

*****If you have never been to the parks, or haven't been in the last year or two, alot has changed. It can be very busy and expensive so it becomes strategic to make the most of things. First things first, make a Disney account and download the MyDisneyExperience App, and if you are interested in Universal make sure you download the Universal Orlando app!&nbsp; There is ALOT of information to absorb in regards to Lightning Lane (the old fast pass system) so I will list below some helpful Youtube videos that have helped us! Travel/Disney Planning

Weekend Timeline will be as follows:- Saturday evening- Meet at the beginning of the Boardwalk on the bridge by the back entrance to Epcot (photos below of where this is) at 6:30, planning to leave that spot and start hopping down the Boardwalk by 6:45. If you are staying at either Boardwalk Resort, Beach and Yacht Club, or Swan and Dolphin, this location is walkable from your resort and also accessible via water taxi.If you are staying at Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, or Art of Animation, this is very close to the skyliner station at international gateway and you can use that to get here as well.If staying at any other Disney resort, there are no buses between resorts. You will have to either uber/lyft, or take the bus to Disney Springs and then catch a bus from Disney Springs to either Boardwalk , or Yacht and Beach Club and this area is accessible via those resorts.If you are staying off site, your best bet is to take a uber/lyft to the yacht and beach club as that is the closest resort to our meeting point.From 6:45-8:00 we plan on strolling the Boardwalk area, grabbing light bites at the blue ribbon corn dog booth (they have a foot long mozzarella stick and fried hawaiian rolls hellllllooooooo), stopping for margaritas at Boardwalk Joe's marvelous margaritas, fun midway games, a couple shops, a magic themed bar, the options are endless!8:00pm is when Atlantic Dance Hall opens, there is no cover charge so no need to worry about that, just bring your dancing shoes and good vibes!We are tired peeps and are usually in bed around 8pm.. so this will be a late night for us and we have to be up at 7am the next day to get ready for our rehearsal. That being said, we plan on leaving the dance hall by 10:30/11 to give us enough time to get in our jammies, settle down, and get our beauty rest for the night.With that being said, feel free to hang there as long as you would like and dance the night away if you so please! We want everyone to have a great time on their own terms, so come for some, come for all, do whatever makes your heart happy.I will also be posting this to the website for our friends who don't have social media.Looking forward to seeing everyone this weekend at Camp Kiwanee, and now we're almost a month out from the big day!!!!!Getting so excited!!!!!*Ignore my beautiful illustrations, first one shows the entire Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Boardwalk area. If arriving by bus, Paddlefish is about a 10 minute walk from the bus drop. If taking the water taxi, it is a 5 minute walk from the dock.Ceremony will start promptly at 5pmReception is over at 9 pmWe will be having a lowkey afterparty in Disney Springs afterwards- think bar hopping, live music, and snacky foods around!-Tuesday all bets are off and everyone is free!! Travel home if you'd like, spend a day or two at the parks, pool day, whatever makes your heart happy!!
